Surviving Spring

One day (or week) it’s great, and the next, not so great. Those very hot days in early April helped push the blooming cycle along very quickly here in Northern NJ. The Magnolia on the front lawn bloomed along with the some others down in Augusta at the Masters. The Dogwoods followed early, too. Then came several days of unseasonably cold weather at the end of April and a cold Mother’s Day weekend. Nonetheless, course conditions have been superb this Spring. Golfers who ignore a slightly discouraging weather forecast have found themselves with the course to themselves, as if they were playing a private country club.
