One day (week) it’s great, the next, not so great. Those very hot days in early April helped push the blooming cycle along really fast here in Northern NJ. The Magnolia on the front lawn bloomed along with the ones down in Augusta at the Masters and the Dogwoods followed early also. Then came several days of unseasonably cold weather at the end of April and a cold Mother’s Day weekend. Nonetheless, course conditions have been superb this Spring. Golfers who ignore a slightly discouraging weather forecast have found themselves with the course to themselves, as if they were playing a private country club.
